Idiots Guide to install and run on windows?

Hello I'm completely lost on what to do I've follow what little instructions I could find online but I'm having a lot of trouble on getting this to work on windows. I'm desperate to backup my texts, and would be infinitely grateful if someone could walk me through this

It looks like you are prepending an unnecessary + character to your commands.
