Installation Failure - No such file or directory: 'requirements.txt' #409

Hi,

Thanks for the great package. I have been trying to install the package as part of an OCI image build but to no avail.

I tried to build it locally using conda and pip (as recommended by the installation guide) but that also fails. I have also tried the full conda version and also get install errors. In this particular case, I would prefer using pip only as I would like to avoid using conda altogether.

conda create --name st python=3.8

conda activate st

pip install stereopy

I get the following error consistently:

note: This error originates from a subprocess, and is likely not a problem with pip.
ERROR: Failed to build 'stereopy' when getting requirements to build wheel

I am using macOS (Tahoe 26.1) with M1 chip but will deploy on a Linux HPC at a later stage.

Any suggestion on how to solve this issue?

Thanks!
