Describe the bug
when installing this package from AUR with an aur helper like paru, the installation fails. see issue Morganamilo/paru#1183 for error message

To Reproduce
paru -S simplemoji

Additional context
I think this is because the files that contain the PKGBUILD are in a detached head state, even running
git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/simplemoji fails with message: fatal: repository 'https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/simplemoji/' not found.

It seems to work with pakku try to install it with that!
