In my case this doesn't work...

It works fine in UE5. I have already tested it many times over the last week and I am playing with it as we speak.

@Chesterfild I had the same issue in UE5. Realized my mistake and did the following steps to resolve. The first thing before using ALS on your character is to test ALS using the map that is provided with the default ALS Character etc. This confirms ALS is working as expected in UE5. So in my case, I was using my own character but had to do the following to resolve the error;

1. On your Skeleton for your character, make sure to create the virtual bones and camera sockets similar to the ALS skeleton
2. on your skeleton, changed the master pose on your skeleton to match the ALS one and ensure you specify humanoid for retarget rig. This will prepare to retarget the ALS anims to your new character
3. Find the ALS Anim BP and right click and retarget, if everything is done correctly in previous steps, then you should see the ALS Mesh as the source and have the ability to select your character mesh as target. You should duplicate the new anims to another folder so that your do not mess up the source anims. You also have to do the same for the action anims, there is a folder for those as well that you do the same thing
4. Copy the ALS Character BP to put in your character folder, change the mesh etc; not going through the details what needs to be changed

The is the high level that i did to resolve this issue for my character. There are many details, adjustments you may need to do to fix the anims for your character (especially if your character is a different size compared to the default ALS skeleton). Just search through youtube videos that can guide you.

I noticed that the file ALS_AnimBP doesn't show up in the content browser in ue5, but does show up in 4.27, so when you start the project the character blueprint can't find the animBP and clears it from the mesh.
I haven't found a solution to this yet

I get this errors in ALS_Character and ALS_AIBP

This is on Ue5 early Access 2
Please could you check this error since everyone says that this project works fine in Ue5

I had the same issues as you, also on Ue5 early Access 2.

I tried it out, but I'm still having some problems with it. Maybe it will work for you though?
