- Everyone agrees that gambling plays a significant role in the Australian culture, and both the media and popular literature have done a great deal to promote the idea that we are a "country of gamblers." Australian governments, in contrast to those of most Western countries, actively promote a wide variety of legal gaming options.
- In this report, the gambling patterns in Australia will be studied and analysed, specifically, two main questions of interest are to be addressed in this report, the two questions are:
- How Does the Money Expenditure Change in the Different States?
- What is the Relationship Between Money Expenditure and the Gambling Category?
This report was built using RStudio and the extracted data comes from a CSV file.
To get the report up and running, please follow these simple steps:
- First, fork the project to your own repository.
- Open the Rmd file named “Money Expenditure on Gambling.Rmd”.
To view the report in an Html format, please follow the instructions:
- First, fork the project to your own repository.
- Download the excel file provided in the directory.
- Download the “Money Expenditure on Gambling.Rmd” file into the same folder where the Excel file was saved.
- Knit the file to an Html format using the Knit button.
- Open the Html file in a web browser such as Chrome or Safari.
There are two main stakeholders that can use the information in this report: Government: To make the public aware of the enormous harm of gambling. Gambling Companies & Agencies: To keep track of the trends and patterns regarding money expenditure on various forms of gambling which can equip them with sufficient information about the wager’s areas of interest.
