Program-History for mULTI-cHECK by Sascha 'SieGeL' Pfalz
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
V1.0 (09-03-95) - First complete Version, is able to to add an Advertisment
with Uploader Name & Location, Nodenr, Date & Time of
upload. Uses only Arguments without any configuration for
faster working.
V1.1 (09-11-95) - Update, added new Argument 'PACKER=<packer>' . This is used
to allow yout to select the location of your LZX including
the name,i.e. PACKER=C:LZX . Without this Argument, the
checker won't work!
-Rewritten the adding-Routines, now faster and saves about
300 Bytes :)
*Changed the Name from LZXCheck to mULTI-cHECK, as I plan
to support LHA and ZIP, too. Maybe sometimes an DMS-Check
will be included, too.
*Changed the Output of the checker.
V1.2 (02-03-96) - Update, currently only for me :)
*Redesigned the whole output, uses now less ansi and also
increased speed a little...
+Now supports LHA, LZX & ZIP archives...in fact of this
the whole command line had to be changed...see supplied
document for further infos
+Added the option to strip files from all archives. Simply
enter STRIPFILE=<path_to_stripfile> and all filenames
contained in this file will be deleted from the archive.
ZIP is the only packer which writes an errormessage when
you enter filenames for deleting, which are not present
inside the checked archive...simply ignore them, i can't
stop this output, as Zip writes itself on Console-output.
-Found and fixed a memory eater, which costs 264 Bytes
everytime you start it...
(02-09-96) - PUBLIC RELEASE
V1.3 (03-03-96) - Internal Update
-Rewritten the code to be more FAME compatible.
(09-06-96) +Added Textfile support! Also new Argument Option added
called TAILER/K. See docs for further details about this.
-Changed the PACKER argument to PACKER/K, so it's not any
longer required to pass this when using the TXT option.
V1.4 (11-15-96) - Very small update ;)
-Fixed a little bug when adding the advert. The temporary
created advert wasn't removed from T: after adding to
LZX, LHA or Zip archives. Now fixed.
V1.5 (11-21-96) - Bigger update
*BUG-REPORT FROM ENZO:
mULTI-cHECK has not added the infos to the tailer when
testing textfiles. Now fixed, mULTI-cHECK adds now to
the header & the tailer the gained informations.
+Built in a faster copyroutine for textfiles. This routine
requires of course more memory, but if you doesn't have
enough memory, mULTI-cHECK will copy the textfiles in
line-copy mode, otherwise the whole file will be read at
once and written at once, making the processing of text-
files about 200% faster than previous versions!!!
V1.6 (04-30-03) - Small update (after 7 years?! :)
*BUG-REPORT FROM DIGIMAN:
When using a binary file as advert it was always destroyed
after adding it to the archive. That's because the update
function for inserting data always assumed TEXT Files that
can be changed to be passed as adverts.
To be able to insert binary data as adverts a new Command
line option was added: NOMODIFY/S
If this switch is set mULTI-cHECK won't try to modify the
advert, instead it just put it into the archive as it is.
If you ommit this parameter mULTI-cHECK will try to insert
the uploader/location to your addy before adding it to the
archive, which is the behavour in all previous versions.
All arguments have now shortcuts, as the FAME systemeditor
does not allow enough space for all args in their long form.
