The reason is because I've actually thought for several months that this would be the right plugin for the tool based on vaguely reading some comments about it and seeing it recommended a lot. I'm sure others have this problem too. So it would be nice to just make a note about it in your docs to save people confusion.
I think it would be great if there was something like:

Answer:
There are some known issues (#1015, #910, #913) with dynamic commands. We recommend using the Linter plugin instead for setting created/modified dates in frontmatter.
However, you should know that uses the time the file was modified according to the filesystem, not the time it was modified according to when you edited it in obsidian so if another program edits it then the updated time will change.
