Why is it that when the line numbers are disabled, I have to press enter twice to get a new line?

Debunked:

If the input does not have a trailing \n character, then the first press generates it - any subsequent one adds it.

Suggestion:
When the editor updates, check if a trailing newline character is present. If not, add it. Works flawless for me! :)
