Cannot open *.names file although it does exist

I am unable to read the kisa_pc.names file inside the data/ folder. Tried providing full paths, putting files right next to darknet . I am using my own .data, .cfg. .weights, .cfg files (tested & verified in other PC).

Have a look, I tried with 3 options, below is the output of each (copied kisa_pc.names to the corresponding places)

Maybe, darknet in Ubuntu version cannot read file datatype .names? I tried changing it to .txt too, but to no avail.
