Description
NAD83 is being retired in North America, to be replaced by NATRF2022.
Base stations run by governments such as state DOT CORS networks, satellite delivered corrections such as RTX, etc, will all be changing their base station co-ordinates to the new reference frame.
Base stations that are privately owned or run by dealership will be free to do whatever they want. May will choose to continue using NAD83 for some time.
Obviously different base station coordinates will require fields and lines to be shifted and this transition will be a complete and utter mess until the dust settles.
To aid in the transition, it would be helpful if an RTKBase station was able to serve different streams with different base co-ordinates.
For example, Base coordinates 1 could be my base's coordinates from a PPP report referenced to NAD83. Base coordinates 2 could be my base's coordinates from a PPP report referenced to NATRF2022. I could serve stream 1 using the first set of co-ordinates, and I could serve stream 2 using the second set of co-ordinates.
This doesn't fix or change anything about the transition, but it gives users another tool to use while they stumble through the transition.
