This is a utility designed for Windows to scan directories for video files, extract key metadata, and export the information to a well-formatted Excel spreadsheet. It fully supports recursive scanning of subdirectories and handles multi-language filenames.

Installation

Step 1: Install FFmpeg (Core Dependency)

This tool requires FFmpeg to analyze video codec information. This is a mandatory system-level dependency.

1. Go to the FFmpeg Official Download Page.
2. Download a build for Windows (builds from gyan.dev are recommended).
3. Extract the downloaded archive and add the path to its bin folder (e.g., C:\ffmpeg\bin) to your system's Path environment variable.
4. To verify, open a new Command Prompt and type ffmpeg -version. If it displays version information, the installation was successful.

Step 2: Install Python Packages

Ensure you have Python 3.8 or newer installed, then run the following command to install the required Python packages.

pip install -r requirements.txt

Usage

1. Run the main script from your terminal:

   python main.py

2. Operating Steps:
   • Click "Browse" to select the root directory to scan.
   • Click "Scan" to begin the process.
   • Once the scan is complete, click "Export to Excel" to save the results.

User Interface

Notes

• The scanning process may take time for a large number of files. The progress bar will provide real-time feedback.
• Unreadable or corrupted video files will be skipped automatically.
• In the exported Excel file, the width of Column A is adjusted based on the title's width, not the full length of the longest filename.

安裝
