Installed SEO tab a few months ago, then recently installed modx 2.8.1 and then 2.8.3 - could have something to do with it.
I checked Google Search Console today and was shocked to learn the homepage was noindexed. I checked the defaults in System settings and they were set to Yes for follow and index. I then opened a resource with no default set for index or follow, and just saved the resource, then reloaded and sure enough it was set to noindex.
I don't know how many pages are set this way so I've disabled for the time being.
