Stethosense Code of Conduct

Introduction

Stethosense is an open and inclusive community dedicated to providing a welcoming and respectful environment for all contributors, users, and participants. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior and sets the standard for respectful and collaborative interactions within our community.

We aim to create a space where everyone feels valued, heard, and free to express their ideas and opinions. Discrimination, harassment, and disrespectful behavior have no place in our community.

Expected Behavior

All members of the Stethosense community are expected to:

  • Be Respectful: Treat others with respect, kindness, and empathy. Respect differences in opinions, backgrounds, and experiences.

  • Be Inclusive: Foster an inclusive environment where all individuals, regardless of identity, feel welcome and valued.

  • Be Collaborative: Encourage and support others in their contributions and endeavors. Collaborate constructively and positively.

  • Be Professional: Maintain professionalism and adhere to the project's guidelines and standards.

  • Be Mindful of Language: Use inclusive and gender-neutral language and avoid offensive, derogatory, or discriminatory comments.

  • Be Open to Feedback: Be open to receiving constructive feedback and willing to learn from it.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable within the Stethosense community:

  • Harassment: Harassment includes offensive comments, verbal or written abuse, deliberate intimidation, and any other unwelcome conduct.

  • Discrimination: Discrimination includes actions or language that targets individuals based on their race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or other protected characteristics.

  • Bullying: Bullying includes repeated harmful or aggressive behavior, often intended to intimidate or harm others.

  • Trolling: Trolling involves deliberately posting disruptive or inflammatory comments with the intention of provoking others.

  • Hate Speech: Hate speech includes promoting violence, discrimination, or hatred against individuals or groups based on their characteristics.

Reporting and Enforcement

If you believe someone has violated the Code of Conduct or if you have concerns about inappropriate behavior, please report it to the project maintainers at stethosense@gmail.com.

All reports will be reviewed and treated with confidentiality. Appropriate actions will be taken, which may include warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the community, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation.
