Rater give a 500 error on Dokuwiki

When trying to install the plugin on Dokuwiki Hogfather the entire Dokuwiki gives an error 500.

I ran into the same issue preventing me from updating on doku wiki instance that relyed one this plugin. Taggic told me that he is no longer maintaining this plugin.

Meanwhile I think i got it fixed via editing syntax.php and action.php as follows .. but i'm not sure if this change is robust or in any means correct. But it seams to work.

Maybe someone with programming skill can verify it and handle all the github stuff to get it processes as an update for the rest of the users. Thanks in advance
