MagicBees not producing specialty products in Apiary

It seems that I'm only getting the 'magicbees' special products if I am using the alveary multi-block as opposed to in an apiary. Is there a unique frame I could use in an apiary to help production of the magicbees products (for example - lore fragments from savants). I get many of them per generation in an alveary but none in an apiary.

@kalemichels All bees produce their special items only if the environment in terms of climate and himidity meets their dominant trait. Even tolerances are ignored in this case.
