Integrating a new platform into the OpenROAD flow

I am integrating a new platform into the OpenROAD flow, but my PDK does not contain TIE high and TIE low logical cells.
What is the correct way to handle this situation in OpenROAD?

Also, could someone please explain which files are required by KLayout to successfully generate a GDS-II file from LEF?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

OR does not support tying off to power rails. The rails tend to be noisy so this isn't commonly done. I suggest making some simple cells for this purpose, you can look at public PDKs for an example (eg sky130).

Thank you for the reply. I have one more issue.

I have successfully completed the flow up to the routing stage. However, while converting LEF to GDS using KLayout, I am getting the following error:

ERROR: RuntimeError: Macro not found in LEF file: feedth9 (line=73, cell=, file=6_final.def) in Layout.read
/home/iitg/openroad_tool/OpenROAD-flow-scripts/flow/util/def2stream.py:25
Command exited with non-zero status 1
Elapsed time: 0:00.82
Even though in the GUI all macros and standard cells (including feedth9) are visible and placed correctly, the GDS generation step fails with this error.
Could someone please help me understand why KLayout cannot find this macro in the LEF file, even though it appears in the layout?

Are you loading the LEF containing feedth9 ?

Do you have a gds for that cell?

The error is not limited to feedth9. It is unable to read any macro from the LEF file. I do have the GDS files for the PDK, but the macros are still not being recognized during DEF loading.
