Update steam games

When the update is required (on the steam client ), I want to update the game from my project (python or c++ it doesn't matter I have experienced both of them), I tried to use DepotDownloader from SteamRE/DepotDownloader repo, It downloads but it doesn't update manifest file so when I reopen the steam client, the game still needs update required. Anybody has ever worked about update the game from your own project? Does this repo update game files, and updates the game manifest file? Need help thanks a lot!
