first setup fails, then reboot hangs.

loads up on login, pick what I want, put in my password, instantly says something is wrong contact developer. So I decide "hey maybe it needs to update", so I go too update says reboot to update, reboot, then get stuck at vanilla screen spinning for about 20min then get a screen full of [FAILED] Failed to start D-Bus System Message Bus. This. happens. every time I reinstall in any sort of configuration.

Can you provide the full log which should be available in the final screen when it fails?

didn't know what to say for the title except that it literally does not work. and I don't know why, and that's the closest thing to a log I can get just fills the screen with the above error until I hard boot.
