Microsoft Visio has a big user community, you can find them on many platforms including reddit.
I try to keep my visio artefacts as fresh as possible by manually accessing the vendors website on a regular basis. Refer to the source section below for more information.
I normalize filenames to keep my sanity:
- Replace all dashes and underscores with a space
- Add the vendor name as prefix
- Add the version as suffix usually in the v[year][month] format
Obviously, I don't remember all the sources but there is tons of information below ...
There is multiple toolchain to convert SVG and PNG icons/ images to Visio stencil format, such as png2vss. This is not something I’m pursuing.
