Dummy Output on Arch Linux

Describe the bug
Speakers not available as audio devices (only dummy output available) after recent upgrades. Running the script again does not help, and I noticed an error from alsa-lib (don't know if it is meaningful, but I'm reporting it just in case it is):
alsa-lib main.c:1804:(snd_use_case_mgr_open) [error.ucm] failed to import hw:3 use case configuration -2

investigating this on a blipper that after a couple reinstalled happened. had it working but a couple oops meant reinsing and no go. I don't think I did anything except the xachyos installer last time and alas it's no good now. Something upstream? Got agents on it...

I got dummy output too on LILLIPUP running cachyos.
I ran the script several times and made sure to have sof-firmware installed.
It worked for me yesterday with linux zen kernel but not the cachyos kernel but not when I reinstalled today. Noticeably the script didn't progress beyon the alsactl init; true step

I am also experiencing issues since a recent Update on Lindar.
Running EndevourOS, Kernel: Linux 6.19.6-arch1-1
No Audio devices showing up anymore. Was working till last week.
Tried to re-run the script, hangs at:

In my case its 100% Kernel issue. I did a fresh install with an oder ISO (Kernel 6.13), sound worked perfect after running the script. Updated to latest Version, Audio was broken again. "updated" to LTS (Kernel 6.18), Audio worked again.

Fedora 6.18 is fine. 6.19 shows dummy output and script hangs at initialising sound card.

Reverting to 6.18 and sound is back.

If anyone wants me to run anything in the 6.19 kernel then reply to this

Can we confirm exactly which commit in Kernel 6.19 caused this issue? Is it possible to track it down and file an issue with the kernel

Can everyone with lillipup and lindar move to a new issue. Your issue is unrelated to the first two issues in this thread.

Installing all the audio packages A standard arch install under main diatros/calamares did it for me
