From the Discord:

Experience Organization into Chronicle/Story/Chapter

A "book" view of experience history that lets you keep track of XP and tag it per-chapter, per-story, and the overarching chronicle.

So say you're a little baby vampire. You get your first sprinkles of XP, goes in Chronicle ("A Damned Awesome Start"), in the story of that chronicle ("Where are we!?"), in the chapter of that story ("Chapter 1").

Fast forward like several years, you're an old grizzled vampire who's eaten their fair share of other vampires. Now you're in a brand new Chronicle ("Where Do We Go From Here?"), you get some new XP so you sort that under the new chronicle, in the story ("Figuring Out What All This Is About"), in the first chapter of that story in the latest chronicle ("Chapter 1," distinct from the chapter 1 of the very starting chronicle.)

That sounds pretty cool...
The best part being is I can pull the current chronicle by this existing field for auto-filling purposes

And say in theory I wanted to link a bunch of "books" together as a storyteller, I could probably make a window to associate characters together so like you said the storyteller can compare multiple characters...

Chronicle Tracking

I'm trying to think of a way for the storyteller to set something up and keep track of that kind of thing... Maybe a new tab in the sidebar called "Chronicles" that lets the storyteller make new chronicles, stories, and chapters. Can add notes, keep track of things important to each story, maybe even have a scene tracker like I have in my CofD Utilities module. So it works like mini-journal entries but separated into the storyteller categories.

Then whenever you go to add new XP the players would have Chronicle/Story/Chapter selectors based on what they can currently view / what's the latest "chapter." So if they can only view Chronicle 1, Story 1, Chapter 1, that's all they can select. But if the storytellers gives them Limited view of Chapter 4 of Story 7, it'll auto-select that?

Alternatively I could just add a new journal entry type called "Chronicle" that does this, I know Monk's Enhanced Journal adds a lot of new journal types that I could use as starting concepts.

Not sure! I can see some potential complications with the overall idea, and it puts more work on the storyteller for setup. But doing it this way and letting them set up the whole chronicle would allow for really cool things like making sure all the chapter/story/chronicle books are tied together and might make for better organization for those that wanna go through the extra effort, and for anyone who doesn't wanna bother just add a "hide Chronicles" setting and if no chronicles are set up XP just works the way it already does - flat experience history with no separation.
