Hi,

Thanks a lot for this software ! I always survived with VMs when it was necessary. But...
I recently had to install Windows 10 on a physical machine anyway... And this woeusb helped me a lot to create a bootable usb stick.
Everything worked perfectly ! I could install ... But the Home version automatically selected (did not check it first time) has no RDP... Holly cow... why ? ok... this is not the subject here.

I observed in my virtual box that I could select the version I need (pro has RDP). So it means that there is some kind of automatic version selection feature when you are on a physical machine... (not for everyone? dunno... It was my case)

I found this gist: here
Basically, one need to create a file named sources/ei.cfg with parameters inside.
And boom, the normal version (Home, Pro, Familly, ...) screen selection is available.

Would it be possible to add this file in the woeusb process ?
Or it could be at least an option to select in woeusb ?

I think it would help a lot of people and save considerable amount of time (I lost a few days trying to understand wtf is wrong)

Cheers,

  • I've searched the issue tracker and is pretty sure that there's no duplicate issue already filed
  • [x ] I've built the latest development snapshot using the instructions in README and verified that the issue can still be reproduced (for bug reports)

Issue Reproduce Instructions

  1. Launch WoeUSB
  2. Create usb stick bootable
  3. Boot on the physical machine
  4. No menu to select the windows version (Home, Pro, Familly, ...)
