You should be able to manually update ProjectTool from the Package Manager, which will then understand both the new format in the Betas and the current 2024.11 format and convert between them automatically.

To do this, go to Tools -> Package Manager.
Then select the GM Tools in the Package Source drop down.
Select the Project Tool for your platform ( Windows, in this case )
Then either Install or Update, depending on whether you have a previous version installed.

A future version of GameMaker will notify you when there is an update to ProjectTool so that you can keep them in sync when changing between different installs.

We have updated ProjectTool to a new version - 2024.13.111 - which now takes into consideration what the IDE is able to load.

If you are having issues moving between 2024.11 and the 2024.1300 beta, please make sure that you have the latest ProjectTool now, as this should now be fixed.
