OS X - "Upload to Yubico" when default browser is not Safari #58
Comments
Sounds odd, will try to look into this. You can do the upload manually at https://upload.yubico.com/ |
Let me know if I can provide any extra debug information :) |
So what actually happens is that a html page is written out and then it just outputs it and asks the system to open that html which contains keys etc and redirects to https://upload.yubico.com something with that approach might not work with other browsers on osX with sandboxing etc.. |
I've tried to reproduce this now, for me it works fine with both chrome and safari on 10.10 and 10.11. Do you have any additional details about your setup? How did you install the yubikey-personalization-gui, from the appstore? |
OS X 10.10.5 I'd like to help test some more, but I'm not able to enter the OTP parameters, only generate them, so I can't do that without screwing up anything I've configured my key for? I'm not sure if that is a 'feature' or not :) |
Does other links outside of the browser itself work after you change default browser? |
Yes, clicked link to http://yubi.co/forum from About section.

+1 same problem. |
+1 same issue |
When I try:
It does nothing when the default browser on OS X is Chrome.
When I change the default browser to Safari, it works.
If you can't integrate with Chrome / Firefox / Opera depending on what's the default, could you please offer a way to perform the upload manually, by telling you what URL to visit :)
