Code of Conduct

Introduction

We are committed to providing a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for all participants in our project, regardless of their background or identity. We expect everyone involved in the project to show respect and courtesy towards others. This code of conduct outlines our expectations for behavior within the project community, as well as the consequences for unacceptable conduct.

Expected Behavior

  • Be respectful and inclusive towards others.
  • Use welcoming and inclusive language.
  • Be open to constructive feedback and ideas.
  • Be considerate of different perspectives and experiences.
  • Be mindful of the impact of your words and actions on others.
  • Be supportive and encouraging to fellow contributors.
  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of others.
  • Remember that harassment and discriminatory jokes or language are not appropriate and will not be tolerated.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable within the project community:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or offensive comments, either verbal or written.
  • Personal attacks or insults, including those related to race, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law.
  • Trolling, flaming, or derogatory remarks.
  • Posting or displaying sexually explicit or violent material.
  • Unwanted sexual advances, attention, or advances disguised as jokes.
  • Intimidation, stalking, or following others both online or offline.
  • Invading someone's privacy or sharing personal information without their consent.
  • Any other conduct that would be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated within the project community. Anyone who engages in such behavior may be subject to consequences, including but not limited to:

  • A warning from the project maintainers.
  • Temporary or permanent removal from the project community.
  • Blocking access to project communication channels.
  • Reporting the behavior to appropriate authorities if deemed necessary.

Reporting and Enforcement

If you witness or experience any behavior that violates the code of conduct, please report it to the project maintainers by contacting [insert contact information or link to reporting guidelines]. All reports will be reviewed and investigated promptly and confidentially.

Project maintainers are responsible for enforcing the code of conduct and have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that are not aligned with this code of conduct. They may also ban temporarily or permanently any contributor for other behaviors they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.
