What are the limitations of the live mode with bot account?

I tried to use the live mode with a bot account, but I'm having some issues. It seems to me that the bot account can only be used in live mode to forward messages between channels/chats owned by the bot creator, and that the bot has to be added in both channels as admin.

It doesn't work to forward messages from public channels/chats where the bot is not a member, it doesn't matter if the owner of the bot is a member of the channel/chat or not. Either way, it doesn't work.

So past mode only works with a user account, live mode between a channel/chat not owned by a user and his own channel/chat, only works with a user account, and a bot account only works in live mode between own channels/chats where the bot must be granted admin rights. I think this must be explained in Wiki more clearly.
