SVbony Camera not detected

I selected SVbony during the setup but I can't detect the camera (SVbony 305c) from the web application. Is there something that I am missing to complete the installation and have the selected camera detected? Thanks!

The camera would not be shown in the web interface until the indi-allsky service starts and connects to the indiserver and then connects to the camera.

You will need to check the log at /var/log/indi-allsky/indi-allsky.log.

FYI, I was just alerted to a problem with the SV305 today by someone else. This could be related to your issue.

Now that the setup is complete with the SVbony 305c detected, should i expect the system to take pictures right away? I have not seen any picture yet while the system was running for about an hour. Restarted both the indiserver and indi-allsky services.

I am probably going to have to go unpack my SV305c and test with it. I am not sure the INDI 2.0.4 release of the svbony driver is working very well as it was completely rewritten last month.

Took a new sd card and installed bulleye OS.
Started installation and used the following command to build indi: ./misc/build_indi.sh v2.0.2
Unfortunately, Camera not detected. Stopped and restarted the services and no luck.
Pulled the latest git and launched setup again.

Everything looks good. The indiserver should be able to connect to the camera. Have you tried fully rebooting yet?

Shutdown, changed usb cable and port. Powered on - no luck again.

Not sure if this observation will help. After rebooting, indiserver and indi-allsky services are both active but the status is "DOWN". When the services are deactivated the status shows "RUNNING". Then, when the services are reactivated, the status stays "RUNNING".

Quick update:
Installed my sd card which had bookworm and Indi 2.0.4 and all the latest updates from git.
Downgraded to Indi 2.0.2 and then rebooted.

"SVBONY CCD SV305C" (from before) - no image when this option is selected
Now, there is another option "SVBONY SV 305C 0" - I can now get an image from the camera.
@aaronwmorris thanks for helping out with the troubleshooting. I'll continue testing tomorrow. Let me known if there are other tests to carry out.
BTW, how can i delete "SVBONY CCD SV305C" given that it does not work?

That makes more sense that the camera name changed between the driver releases. You can hide the camera by modifying a flag in the database.
