What is an Artisan?

Artisan is defined in the Filter Shop by having 5 or less employees.

A Video-Game will be considered to be from an Artisan if all the Studios and all the Publishers have 5 or less persons. Note that often for small indies, the studio is the publisher.

Shops are considered artisans if they have 5 employees or less. For now we don't check if they have a group or not, as we don't think such a small entity could be part of a group. It would need to change if we are wrong.

What do we show on the index page?

The main page of Video Games, Online Shops and Physical Shops show the corresponding element which are in the spotlight: they cannot have a negative filter, should not be already popular, and have a lower count in the Spotlight than other elements. Each element stays in the spotlight for at least one week and at least 100 views.
