Tip: Most laptops significantly limit their performance capabilities when operating on battery power, even when set to performance energy mode. When running Phoenix ELN, this might manifest itself in a noticeable lag between clicking an experiment item in the experiment tree and its contents actually appearing. If this should be of an issue to you, then connecting your laptop to an external power supply might significantly improve this behavior.
