repaint not working correctly?

I was using the rest api mode.
what I want is to use the repaint feature to "remix" a song, Same melody, different arrangement, like making the given song in "jazz remix". But it failed, and the resulting mp3 are so different from the original one. Here's the method I used:

+1. Tried using supplied UI. Tried different settings, same results - either the sound is different or there's silence in selected region.
