can you change the function name for clim?

Thank you for the comment. Note that the DEBtool function clim was created in 2002/02/11 by Bas Kooijman and modified 2011/04/12. It has been called already in many other functions.
The Matlab function clim was renamed from caxis in R2022a. If you want to use the clim function of Matlab you could set the path to Matlab before the path to DEBtool.
