How to make it persistent

I am able to get this to work by running ~/.config/rofi/launchers/type-X/launcher.sh from the terminal and it works, but just the once.
I have changed it in the launcher.sh file as stated, but still I just get the same ugly default rosi running, unless of course I add that line in the terminal again of course. what am I missing please?

I think the idea is that you replace whatever keybinding you use to launch rofi now with the launcher script that you want from this repo. So in my case, I'm using i3 as the window manager, and replaced my old keybinding with this:

bindsym $alt+Tab exec --no-startup-id ~/.config/rofi/launchers/type-1/launcher.sh
