[Request] Updating statistics

Rather than having a fixed number of samples (which might confuse some people) switch it to a [start/stop] simulation button and when simulation is running, update the statistics every so often, maybe starting with fast updates, and slowing down as more samples are added and fast updates aren't as useful (and would needlessly hinder performance).
Something like updates at:

• 1,000 samples
• 10,000 samples
• 20,000 samples
• 40,000 samples
• 80,000 samples
• 120,000 samples
• 160,000 samples
• 200,000 samples
• 250,000 samples
• 300,000 samples
• etc.
