Allow images in comments?

Is there an option to let registered users to drag images to their comments?

For superuser (and other?) it works.

For registered users a click on "Save" gives answer “Field required: Comment Text”.
If some text is added, then "Save" works, but the IMAGE IS NOT SAVED IN THE COMMENT.
BUT IT IS UPLOADED TO THE SERVER(!!)
It was already done when the image was dragged to the comment form

That's a function of your editor and Joomla itself, not Akeeba Engage.

There is a bit I left unwritten because it's not (yet) part of Joomla: configuring where uploads of each user will end up. If I recall correctly, this is slated to be in Joomla 4.3.0. This will solve the problem of images in comments:

• You can configure a TinyMCE profile to sequester user uploads to a specific directory, probably with a subdirectory per user (like JCE currently does).
• You can configure Joomla text filters to allow img tags for all user groups you allow posting comments.

I refrained from explaining how to do that with JCE because, as far as I know, doing so requires using JCE Professional, the paid version. My thinking is that if you're using JCE Pro you already know about these awesome features, if you're not you're most likely to get upset at the perceived sleight of me insinuating that if you want something Joomla does not provide out of the box you should pay a third party developer a meager amount of money (trust me, I've had to deal with a lot of nutcases over the years).

But, yes, the reason I wrote that section was to prod you towards the fact that it is in fact possible 😉
