Email notifications to managers? #280
-
There is an email template 'Notify Managers' . Who are 'managers;' in the context of this extension? If so, will they get two notifications when the are also the author of an article that is commented on and 'Email author' is set to 'yes'? Or will they just receive one of the emails? |

Ah, OK. That's what I was looking for, So If the usergroup has access rights to the edit state they will get the 'Managers' email. Do Super Users also get notified by Akeeba Engage as managers? If so, is there a way to disable this? Will users that have Edit State privilege and are also the author receive twoe notification emails when 'Email author' is set to yes? Or will Akeeba Engage sen just one of the emails? I'm just trying to get acquainted with the workflow in Akeeba Engage... |

OK thanks for explaining! This does mean for us (Super Users) that we are going to receive a lot of notifications about comments on our user's sites that are (in our situation) not relevant to us as technical website managers. It would be useful for us if we could exclude SU from comment notification. Maybe you could consider adding an option for that? If this is not possible, we'll just have to create a e-mail rule to delete them when they start arriving ;-) |

Super Users get all privileges. You cannot prevent a Super User from getting all privileges. So, yes, they will be notified too — unless they are configured to not receive system emails.
If someone is both an author and a manager they will only get one email, the manager email. The author email is sent only to the content's author if the author of the content is not a manager, to notify them about the comments on their content so they can possibly reply to it.
