add additional nix options to compose file

being able to define e.g config files in nix in the docker compose file in specially formatted comments that get copied to the nix file would be really useful

Sorry for the late reply. I think this out of scope for compose2nix.

Instead, I would suggest doing this in Nix directly. For example, assuming your compose2nix output is a file named compose.nix:

# unbound.nix
{ ... }:

{
  imports = [
    ./compose.nix
  ];

  environment.etc."unbound/conf.d/records.conf".text = ''
    local-data: "example.com A 10.1.1.2"
  '';
}
