Description

I'm trying to connect to ALVR with PhoneVR. SteamVR has launched and the preview shows movement from the phone, but only for a split second each time it connects. The device will keep disconnecting with the error Client disconnected. Cause: Connection refused (os error 111). ALVR retries the connection every 5 seconds, so I get a split second of movement each time, indicating that the connect is established, but disconnected for an unknown reason.

I have found that this error is related to the network. I have tried disabling iptables altogether, but that did not resolve the issue. I'm not even sure if this error is on the PhoneVR side, or the ALVR side. I hope someone can clarify.

General Troubleshooting

  • I carefully followed the instructions in the README and successfully completed the setup wizard
  • I read the ALVR GitHub Wiki
