Valent 1.0.0.alpha.45 (flatpak) installed on Ubuntu 22.04 (wayland) desktop computer, gnome shell 42.9. On Android installed kde connect 1.31.1.
I am able to connect the two devices using Valend and KDE Connect. On android granted contacts permission, and enable contacts and sms plugins. On Valent enabled syncing remote and local contacts, contacts and sms plugins enabled.
In valent when I open the Messaging window, I see the two panes (Messages and Conversation), but both are empty. When I click on the + sign to start a new conversation, I get the field to type in a name or phone number. When I type in a phone number, what appears is "Send to xxxxxxxxxx", where the x are the phone number I entered. But then, I don't know what is supposed to happen after that, or what I am supposed to do. There's no place where I'm allowed to begin entering a message. If I click on the "Send to xxxxxxxxxx", nothing happens.
Also - I suspect the contacts list from the android device is not actually being shared with valent, but I don't know how to verify that, and if it isn't, why it isn't.
