This Wiki documents the features available in the Framework for Advanced Natural Tools and Applications with Social Interactive Agents (FANTASIA), an Unreal Engine plugin to support Metahumans with Conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI). The plugin can be used for both simple applications relying entirely on Large Language Models (LLMs) or to explore Linguistically Motivated Conversational AI to build systems that are explainable be design. This is the research that is being conducted at the University of Naples Federico II.
To install FANTASIA in your Unreal Engine project, simply copy the FANTASIA folder from this repository in the Plugins folder under your project's root. If you are not using other project specific plugins, you may have to create the Plugins folder yourself. The result is shown in the example image
If everything goes well, you should see FANTASIA listed as active in the Plugins menu in your Unreal project
