We are currently working on refactoring the java driver in order to make it return reactive types and behave accordingly to reactive principles. You can follow the development in https://github.com/arangodb/arangodb-java-driver/tree/reactor

I see that in https://github.com/arangodb/arangodb-java-driver/ there are some async implementations.
Are there any plans to improve arangodb/spring-data with a more high level Reactive ArangoRepository / ArangoTemplate?

This feature is still on our radar, nonetheless no work has been planned about it yet due to other internal priorities.
