This model has a micro HDMI for debugging purpose, but would be nice to have it in the final product or another version.

Kernel 5.9.0-rc2 is rock solid in RockPi E, building Kernel 5.9.0-rc5 with gcc-10 on eMMC for testing new devfreq and checking stability. As usual, stressing the board using Wifi and lots of R/W operations in eMMC requires a real-time monitoring tool, especially if Cpu Throttling Temperature isn't working nicely.

Realtek rtl8821cu with BT 4.2 are capable of working consistently, streaming video while using the Wifi. Streaming audio from a Phone to the RockpiE works really nice. In the example we are going to make RockpiE output the sound to analog jack.

Latest htop 2.2.2-4 comes with a full set of tools to monitor your Wlan0, Eth0, Eth1, Cpu Frequency, Cpu Temperature in real-time from ssh section. Run:

Boot RockPi E with the SD CARD inserted into the slot You will see the green led blinking (heartbeat) login: ubuntu paswd: ubuntu

run the eMMC install script:

Wait till finished and then run:
sync sudo reboot
- shutdown always reboot the board
