WI is showing blank values after we rename the value

We used this plugin for a cascading field with 2 dropdowns. We uploaded a csv with some values. One of the value is XYZ-ABC. Later we created work items and selected this XYZ-ABC values.
Unfortunately we got requirement to rename XYZ to WXY. After rename the option in csv file, existing work items which have XYZ option in first dropdown are not showing any value, showing blank in both dropdowns.
Any idea how to handle this dropdown option renaming?

All values are case sensitive. They won't just update automatically because you changed the file. You will need to update the file, add the value as a picklist value for the field in question. Find all work items with the value of XYZ-ABC and the bulk edit the field to be WXY-ABC (or whatever the new intended value is). The XYZ-ABC can stay as an option, because the extension controls what's available to the user to pick. If you want to clean it up though, you can.
