How can I handle credential failure / permission errors with the CloudWatchMetricPublisher?

Hi, I'm interested in using the CloudWatchMetricPublisher to publish custom metrics to CloudWatch. Do you provide an event listener (onError, onSuccess) similar to the AsyncHandler accepted by the CloudWatchClientAsync.putMetricDataAsync ? Is there a provision to have a custom AsyncHandler for errors / exceptions in case there is some issue related to permissions or credentials? If not, how can I shutdown / close the Publisher if something like this happens?
