Status of this package?

What is the status of this package? It have not been updated to new Meteor packaging. Is it still being maintained? Or has it been found that it does not work well? That it has too sever side effects? I think there are pretty good use cases for it. Not so much for template rendering, but when you have reactive functions returning expensive objects which should not be recreated unnecessarily.

I use this package a lot. In my opinion, it is a must have for client-side optimization. It works very well.

It has a bit different semantics.
