Great to see an XMPP based bot service for Jitsi.

What we thought would be very useful is a moderator service that manages the agenda. Think of creating the agenda with topics in the chat like:

Welcome to our monthly status meeting.
/t 1 5m check-in
/t 2 15m achievements
/t 3 30m planning for June
/t 4 5m break
/t 5 30m personnel and budget
/t 6 5m check-out

After each time period, a sound is played and a chat message is shown Please close topic 2 achievements. Add more time with /10m. Next topic Planning for June starts in 3 minutes, duration 30 minutes..

More commands could be thought of, such as e.g. copying the agenda to the etherpad with /pad topic all or the last 3 chat messages with/pad 3 to semi-automize creating the meeting notes.

Hi, thanks for your interest and your proposal!
A feature like this should already become possible in a simple form by the potential/future -m, --welcomeMessage argument. With an external tool like cron, you could run ModBot several times in a one-shot manner and make it send messages to the chat, according to a pre-defined meeting schedule.

With more development time, the next step to achieve an interactive experience as you describe would be to implement a back-channel (i. e. reading messages from the chat). This is not on the agenda yet.
