DivideRide - Carpooling Application

DivideRide is a carpooling mobile application that aims to address the challenges faced by individuals in owning a car or affording the cost of gasoline. It specifically focuses on employees within the same company who encounter these difficulties. The application enables users to share rides, whether they own a car or not, and share the expenses of gasoline. By connecting users from the same organization, DivideRide promotes cost savings, reduces traffic congestion, minimizes carbon emissions, and fosters a sense of community among colleagues.

Features

  • Create and join rides within your organization.
  • Share the cost of gasoline with other users.
  • View ongoing, upcoming and history rides.
  • Accept or reject ride requests.
  • End ongoing rides.
  • Cancel an upcoming ride.

Future Enhancements

  • Implement real-time location tracking for ongoing rides.
  • Integrate a payment system for seamless transaction processing.
  • Add a rating and review system for drivers and passengers.
  • Provide a chat feature for easy communication between users.
