FLARM vs.? OGN: What's the difference, if any?

Hi,

I am struggling to eventually understand the difference between FLARM and OGN. Are these used synonymously? The documentation here mostly reads OGN, it seems. Is this something else than FLARM?

Maybe the background: I am using single engine pistons and want to "see as much as possible" and "contribute as much as possible". What would I look for?

Adrian et al: OGN is the network Open Glider Network wiki.glidernet.org Flarm is the device OGN Tracker is the device compatible with the OGN, similar to Flarm, but only for tracking purposes, no collision avoidance that is territory of Flarm. AC/.

and both are sending at 868 MHz, right? And yes, FLARM AFAIK calculates and anticipates vectors, but OGN still can improve the situational awareness regarding Traffic, right? Can FLARM see OGN? Can OGN see FLARM?

the freq depends on the region on EU is 868 Mhh ISM band Flarm do not see OGN trackers OGN network see Flarms and OGN trackers read wiki.glidernet.org for further details
