OGN Noise@Gain 50

Hello,
First, happy new year and good health to all.
I would like to have an explanation on the OGN Noise graph, because it is always in red, with small or large antenna. What are its significance and its use?

The more noise you have, the less reception range. Receiver gain is automatically reduced if noise levels get too high, that's why it is "normalized" to a gain of 50, to make the numbers more comparable. There are many ways how the noise level can be influenced.
Antenna position and type, ferrite cores around antenna cables, other electronics around you, fan placement, ...

But for reliable values, make sure you monitor while airborne, since ground appliances (e.g. your office PC) can be huge sources of noise.
