The plugin here and in the pelican-plugins repo are diverging

There's a version of this plugin in the official pelican-plugins repo:

https://github.com/getpelican/pelican-plugins/tree/master/render_math

The original version here and the other version in pelican-plugins have slowly diverged due to people submitting issues and pull requests only to one but not the other.

It would serve the community well to consolidate the two versions again and make sure that all issues/pull-requests will go to the same place in the future.

Hi! Pelican maintainer here… There are actually more than two versions of this plugin floating around the Interwebs, so I took the liberty of attempting to consolidate them into a single repository under the new https://github.com/pelican-plugins organization. I have invited @barrysteyn as a collaborator at the new Render Math repository; if anyone else would like to actively contribute there, by all means please let me know.

Another added benefit of the version at the new repository is that I converted the plugin to the new namespace plugin format and published an initial release to PyPI. That means that once the next version of Pelican has been released, you will be able to pip install pelican-render-math to install Pelican and the Render Math plugin all at once, without having to enable the plugin in your settings file. It should Just Work™. ✨
