It's not guaranteed that all tracks will be imported (eg. corrupted file, invalid header, file permission errors, etc), so it would be useful to help diagnose file problems by:
keeping record of all tracks that failed to import, and the associated Error message
presenting it to the user after import has completed (preferably in a summarised notification, which can then be expanded to see a list of all errors).
